Now is a good time to plan for the summer.  One way to spend a productive summer is to join a science research program.  Smith College offers an excellent program for high school girls.  Summer research experience definitely helps an applicant stand out from the crowd during the college admissions process.  This program at Smith College is 2 weeks long.  The first session runs from June 28, 2009 and the second session from July 13.  Summer Science and Engineering Program at Smith College is open to girls who will be 9, 10, 11 or 12th grade in high school in Fall of 2009.  The program costs 4500$.

To apply for the program, the program’s application form, high school transcript, written essay and teacher recommendation must be sent in by March 1 for early admission and May 1 for regular admission.  Financial aid is available.  Please check out Smith College’s summer program web site for more info.
